Taco Soup

1.5 lbs lean ground beef ( I'm going to try ground turkey next time)
1 onion, chopped
1 (4 oz) can diced green chiles
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained
2 (15 oz) cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed
2 (14.5 oz) cans stewed tomatoes
1 (15 oz) can white hominy, drained (can use corn)
1 1/2 cups water (can add more if you like a thinner soup)
1 (1.25 oz) package taco seasoning mix
1 (1 oz) package ranch dressing seasoning mix

Brown meat and onion together.  Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for 20 min.
I figured out the calories, etc as follows:
Serving size: 1 cup
Calories: 317; Total Fat 13.4 g, Total Carbs: 30.5 g; Protein: 18.7 g; Fiber: 9.6 g
